Your first company: how to start without getting lost

The first screen is a business plan cover with a lot of buttons, and it can be hard to know where to press. Follow this guide once and your first company will be up and running in no time.
The start screen and the opening application
New players see two buttons right away: Start in 1 minute and "New here? Start here". Both launch you straight into Seoul, in ordinary times, funded by your parents. If you want to pick your own terms, open "Set your own terms".
- Business location: Each city has its own grants, talent pool and other conditions.
- CEO background: Each background comes with one strength. An ex-corporate quitter, for example, starts comfortably on severance pay.
- Founding era: Choose from the 2008 financial crisis, ordinary times, the 2021 liquidity party, the 2023 venture winter or the AI bubble. Each one changes the market mood.
- Funding source: Parents' support, severance pay and a government grant all give you different starting cash. Max-out loans and a loan shark mean you start in debt.
- You can also set your gender, name and time flow (1 month takes 1.5, 2.5 or 4 seconds).
Any field you leave blank is left to the dice. For the game mode, pick Standard mode (one life, step by step) or Speed mode (only the big sign-offs, and time flies).
How a month of sign-offs flows
Once your application is filed, you pick your first business. Recommended industries are listed at the top, and the full list is below. Tap an industry, then tap "Open with defaults" and you are done. The detailed settings are set to the industry average, so it is fine to start with them as they are.
When the game starts, time keeps moving, and now and then a sign-off request lands on your desk.
- Read the paperwork and tap one option. The expected changes appear right under each option.
- A stamp lands, and the result and money movement are shown.
- Read "Next up" in the result window, then tap OK.
Between sign-offs, you can use the Actions tab to do things like hire. Actions you choose while a sign-off request is open are queued, and they run the moment the stamp lands. If the wait feels slow, tap ⏩ "Until next sign-off" to fast-forward, or ❚❚ to pause.
Features unlock in steps
A screen full of buttons from the start would be dizzying. So features unlock as you sign off more requests.
- At the start: basic management, such as hiring, raising money and loans
- After 3 sign-offs: self-improvement and the skill assessment
- After 6: staff management and perks, dividends and expansion
- After 10: industry-specific actions, investing, romance and family, reputation and auto sign-off
- After 15: combo cards, pivots, overseas expansion and stakes, and operating settings
- After 25: everything else, such as pets and politics
In an urgent situation, the action you need shows up early, whatever the step. If you want to see it all from the start, turn on "Show everything" in ⚙ Settings.
The Secretary's memo on the screen tells you what to do now, most urgent first. It points out things like "See a doctor first" or "Set a marketing budget for ...", and when you tap "Go do it", the matching button lights up.
Saving, continuing and moving your save
You never need to press a save button. The game saves automatically whenever you settle a sign-off, take an action or a month turns over, and you can also leave with "Save & exit". When you come back, "Continue" is on the first screen. Several lives can be saved at once, and they are listed newest first.
Saves live in the browser of the device you are using. To keep playing on another device, use Move your save on the first screen or in Settings. You can copy a single life, or everything, as a code, or save it as a file. On the other device, paste the code or choose the file, tap "Preview", and then pick "Merge" or "Replace all". If the same life exists on both sides, the one saved more recently wins.
On a phone, you can install the game like an app with "Add to home screen" in Settings. On an iPhone, open the page in Safari, tap the Share button and choose "Add to Home Screen".
If the screen feels busy, start with Settings
Under "Sign-offs · Display" in ⚙ Settings you will find these options.
- Screen detail: "Simple" shows only the essentials, and "Detailed" shows more information. New players should start with Simple.
- Quick sign-off: This shows the options in a compact form. New players start with it on, and you can turn it off in Settings.
Quick recap
- If you feel lost, play one run with "Start in 1 minute". If you like it, pick your own terms next time.
- To handle a sign-off request, read the options and tap one. Check the expected changes first.
- Features unlock as you sign off more requests, and the Secretary's memo tells you what to do now.
- Saving is automatic. Use Move your save to take your game to another device.
